    We looked at Highland ponies 20+ years ago, but could not find what we were looking for, so we started with Dales until the right Highland pony came along for us. We decided to import to bring new lines into the US. Our first imports are yearlings. They were imported April of The colt Smoo is a light mouse dun who hales from Rhum breeding. Lily is a Highland mare with a real personality and can have bit of a ‘mare stare’ and put her ears back, but I just ignore her and carry on with what I was doing. She is a hardy native pony who lived out 24/7 over winter with a neck and belly clip and no rug.
